When I first moved into my dorm, I found myself with limited desk space. After searching for hours online for a laptop stand, I came up empty. With an educational license for Fusion 360 and access to my school's 3D printers, I knew I could do something about it.Â
When I first moved into my dorm, I found myself with limited desk space. After searching for hours online for a laptop stand, I came up empty. With an educational license for Fusion 360 and access to my school's 3D printers, I knew I could do something about it.Â
I wanted to be able to use my laptop as a second display but also with the option to tuck it away if I needed more desk surface. The result is the ThinkStand: a two-in-one laptop stand designed around the dimensions of my ThinkPad laptop.
Since I was 3D printing, I had to split the stand into two and create tabs to assemble it afterward.
